Founded by a decorated high risk sonographer, the center was created from the ground up with a passion for maternal and fetal care, combining clinical expertise with a small town feel for slower and more meaningful experiences.

  • Each diagnostic ultrasound is performed with careful attention to accuracy, clarity, and patient comfort. Families are given the time and support often missing from routine appointments, while referring providers receive detailed reports within 24 to 48 hours to support timely clinical decisions.

  • Baby Haven KC partners with qualifying obstetricians, maternal fetal medicine specialists, midwives, nurse practitioners, and family medicine providers who value dependable outpatient imaging and a seamless referral experience.

  • All diagnostic exams are performed by the founder and lead sonographer of Baby Haven, an ARDMS-registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with extensive experience in OB/GYN, high-risk/MFM, and general radiology. Baby Haven does not use trainees, unlicensed employees, or rotating staff.

  • Baby Haven does not offer urgent or stat ultrasounds and focuses on scheduled, non-emergent imaging with thorough review and patient education.

    We complement but do not replace OB, midwife, or MFM care and refer patients when higher-level monitoring or inpatient care is needed.

  • Diagnostic studies are reviewed by qualified interpreting radiologists. Reports are generated in alignment with clinical standards and are shared with referring providers via fax.

  • Baby Haven is a self-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly.

    A detailed superbill/invoice is provided upon request for potential reimbursement. Some HSA/FSA cards may be accepted depending on individual plan coverage. Full pricing transparency is available prior to scheduling.

  • Reports are finalized by qualified radiologists within 24-48 hours, and faxed to the ordering healthcare provider. Baby Haven does not provide immediate results to patients!

  • Medical records and official reports are available only for diagnostic exams.

    Baby Haven does not provide medical records for elective or non‑diagnostic visits, as those services are not considered medical imaging. For a diagnostic report or images, confirm that the appointment was a diagnostic visit with a provider referral. Then contact Baby Haven or submit the request via fax to (913) 543‑3014.

  • For diagnostic ultrasounds, we allow up to two guests (18+ only) to accompany mom for support.
