Baby Haven KC is a locally owned, woman owned prenatal imaging center founded in 2023. Built from the ground up with a strong medical foundation in advanced obstetric sonography, we were created with one purpose in mind. To place parents and their experience at the center of everything we do. Every decision, every detail, and every moment in our space is shaped by a deep respect for the significance of pregnancy and one-of-a-kind memories along the way.
What began in 2023 as a small imaging suite in Overland Park has grown into a spacious outpatient imaging center in West Shawnee, Kansas. Today, we are proud to welcome families from across the Kansas City area and beyond who come to share in this season of life, whether they are visiting for early clarity, milestone scans, or diagnostic imaging support.

Meet Our Lead Sonographer & Founder!
Sydnee is the founder and lead Sonographer of Baby Haven KC. With a decade-long career spanning multiple states, she has provided care in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine practices across the country. Her experience in both high-acuity and routine imaging settings has given her a rare, grounded perspective on what truly shapes the patient experience: thoughtful imaging, clear communication, and the ability to make complex moments feel calm, human, and understandable.
Before opening Baby Haven KC, Sydnee worked as both a full-time and contract Sonographer, stepping into healthcare systems nationwide to support teams where coverage was needed most, long before travel sonography became widely known. During those years on the road, she not only helped maintain access to critical imaging services but also trained future sonographers, contributed to imaging protocols, and strengthened workflows designed to improve consistency and quality of care.
After putting down roots in Kansas City after meeting her fiancé, she founded Baby Haven KC inside his office in 2023 with a clear vision: to reimagine prenatal imaging as something both clinically excellent and deeply personal. A place where expertise and relaxation can coexist without compromising.
As an owner-operator, Sydnee remains deeply involved in every layer of the practice. From shaping the patient experience and designing where it happens, to refining the imaging flow and brand identity, Baby Haven KC reflects her belief that healthcare should feel both precise and profoundly human. She is passionate about elevating clinical imaging services as both a science and an art, creating an environment where families can connect with their pregnancy in meaningful ways, supported by expertise they can trust.

Here, expert prenatal ultrasounds, early insights, and meaningful educational moments are delivered in a way that feels both professional and approachable. Our services support both low risk and high risk pregnancies without in-office diagnosis, but offering clarity through developmental facts, allowing parents understanding at every stage.
