Elective Ultrasound Services

At Baby Haven KC, elective ultrasounds are performed by a licensed sonographer and are intended for early bonding and keepsake purposes starting at 6 weeks. These sessions are non-diagnostic and do not include medical evaluation or radiologist interpretation.

1st Trimester Ultrasounds

6-13 weeks of pregnancy

  • Recommended at 6+ weeks to see baby’s heartbeat.
    (<5 minutes)

    This extra-quick abdominal ultrasound confirms your baby's heartbeat and provides reassurance during early pregnancy. Includes one printed heartbeat photo. Recording or photographing the screen during these visits is not permitted. For additional images, video, or extended viewing time, please upgrade to a full ultrasound appointment.

  • Recommended after 6 weeks to see baby and confirm heartbeat.

    This simple, soothing black & white abdominal ultrasound is designed to capture early milestones, offer reassurance, and provide a gentle first glimpse of baby. You’ll receive a heartbeat calculation, an ultrasound photo strip, and a digital gallery with photos and videos. Add-ons are available to make it even more special!

  • Must be 13+ weeks for accurate early gender reveal.

    Share early bonding moments with a soothing black & white ultrasound. Includes heartbeat calculation, gestational age measurement, and gender reveal in-person or in an envelope. You’ll leave with a photo strip, accurate gender results, and an instant digital gallery.

  • Recommended after 9 weeks for early HD imaging.

    Experience your baby like never before with HD technology and standard 2D imaging. Includes heartbeat calculation, photo strip, and an instant digital gallery. Add-ons available to personalize your visit!

  • Recommended after 9 weeks in the 1st trimester for multiples.

    • Arrive with a full bladder (not needed after 12 weeks). If not needed, we’ll have you use the restroom first.

      • Listen to your body. Don’t come in uncomfortable! We want the experience to be enjoyable.

2nd Trimester Ultrasounds

14-27 weeks of pregnancy

  • Recommended anytime in the 2nd trimester.

    This service is designed for TWINS+, with equal time focused on each baby in HD and extra padding to take breaks or wait for them to wake up. Leave with a strip of ultrasound photos per baby and an instant digital gallery with photos and videos. Add-ons available to make this moment unforgettable.

    • HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE! Increase water intake for 3–5 days for optimal HD imaging.

    • No full bladder needed.

    • A small sweet snack may help encourage movement if baby is sleepy, but avoid excess sugar or caffeine.

      • We schedule enough time for baby to naturally wake and move during every visit.

    • It’s rare, but cold drinks and candy are available if baby is extra sleepy during your appointment.

Recording or photographing the screen during these visits is not permitted. For additional images, video, or extended viewing time, please upgrade to a full ultrasound appointment.

  • IIf wanting 3D, 4D, or HD content please do not select this.

    Enjoy a simple, soothing black & white ultrasound to check in. Includes heartbeat calculation, confirm baby’s position, hair check, photo strip, and instant digital gallery. Add-ons are available to personalize your visit.

  • Recommended at 30–34 weeks for a glimpse of what baby will look like at birth and chubby cheek galleries.
